Researchers looked at 430 adolescents and their biological parents across the child's high school years. The findings reflect that since parent behavior gives children a model for their own behavior, perceiving that a parent is antisocial may give a child permission to engage in similar behaviors.

A sample of 300 pairs of eight-year-old twins was studied to examine the genetic and environmental influences on sleep. Overall, the findings reflect that both genetic and environmental influences are factors in a range of sleep problems.

The findings are based on two studies of kindergarten and preschool children that assessed understanding of emotions and play and conflict with friends.
