In the February 7 issue of the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, researchers quantify the risk of fatal heart attacks associated with different types of treatment, and they find that the increased risk persists for at least 25 years after Hodgkin disease treatment.

He was at high risk for blocked blood vessels and a possible heart attack. The researchers conclude his heavy exercise regime may have played a role in his heart disease.
