Five Students Receive 2007 Battelle-Brookhaven Women in Science Awards

Now a study in the July 20, 2007 Journal of Clinical Oncology shows older women who get yearly mammograms after treatment of early-stage breast cancer are less likely to die from breast cancer. Researchers examined five years of follow-up on 2,000 patients age 65 and older with early-stage breast cancer at six systems in the Cancer Research Network, including Group Health.
